Default Double Arm Window Riser Spring?

The joys of the less than common Model A!
The drivers side window riser large spring on my 68C door is broken. I was wondering why it was so difficult to crank the handle....now I know.
I don't have a regular window riser for comparison but it appears similar to the regular riser springs.
Does anybody here that knows Vicky's, slants or 68Cs know whether the regular large spring sold by the suppliers will work for the double arm device? Or do you know a source for these?

I to would like to find a good source for the springs. I have been looking for years, no one that I can find makes the correct springs. and no other Model a regulators uses the same spring as the slant window two arms regulators. I bought regulator Roy out of the ones he had a couple years ago. I have reworked a lot of the two arm regulators and I do have a large spring that I can part with.

I needed one of those springs. Fortunately Bert's in Denver was able to supply me with a good used one.

To resurrect this thread: Can anyone give me specifications on this spring? For example, some dimensions regarding width of the spring, thickness of the steel, number of turns, perhaps the radius of the hook on the end or any other pertinent data? I know a vendor to get a quote. Also, how many folks may be interested? Thanks.

I had the same problem, used a spare spring from my '57 Chevy, you can see it in the pic, it's the bigger spring.
It worked for awhile but it finally started to tear the spring tab on the regulator plate, so, damage done.
Moral of the story is: Other springs may work, for a while, but if it's to strong a spring it can cause more damage down the road.
Was saved/helped by a fellow Ford Barner, who set me up with a repairable regulator...you know who you are because you've repied to this tread.
Thank You again.

I omitted the original info in this post. Snyder's states they have a spring...but apparently it is not the correct one as burner31 points out in the following post.
Thanks Keith for pointing it out.
Good Day!

That's not the correct spring that fits to the regulator plate

How about this idea: can someone share a broken spring for the slant window regulator with me? That way I can measure it, get an idea of the width, number of turns, how the hook at the end is made, and perhaps get the material tested to see what tensile strength it was. Or if someone can post the original detail of the spring I could perhaps ask for a quote on this item. Thanks.

OK, no rush. I have a lot of other projects at this time. Based on jw hash's reply, I probably need the specs on both springs if possible. I cannot guarantee I can get the vendor to help me out with this, so all I can do is ask.
Thanks everyone for your help.
