Will do.

I might be able to have pics of the latest sample block with stuff bolted to it later today. Prus Jr. is coming up with a block that needs some machine work done on it and we will discuss finish machining this block and putting it together with old parts and hopefully firing it up somewhere down the line.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. Pressure oil sounds great. being set up for inserts would be another plus.

Well, Prus Jr. came to the shop with a couple of blocks he needs me to do some surfacing on, and we discussed the latest sample block as it sat outside the machining center still on the pallet. He is very optimistic that we can have this running and video it for YouTube.

When I was gun-drilling the main oil galley the coolant blasted out with impressive force once the drill opened up at the center intersection. We discussed altering the pattern to put a boss on the OD of the mail oil galley so a pressure relief valve can be put in. Easy addition to help keep oil pressure regulated.

I didn't take any pictures because I forgot my camera at home, but I fit the flywheel housing on the pins and bolted it on, bolted on the side cover and oil return tube, bolted on the front and front side covers, as well as the side water neck. I had to leave so I did not get time to once again put in manifold studs and bolt on the 2 manifolds. But, I have already done that so I know they look good. A head has also already been bolted on. A little bit more and it is finished and off to the build shop.

The Crow's foot iron was poured today. Shake out Monday 1/18. Machine asap if all looks good.

Core shop is moving ahead on new A block core process which will eliminate assembly of 9 cores, replaced with one core unit to do the same job. Very expensive but better.

The foundry sent pictures of the head prior to final shot blast. It looks good so far. I will know tomorrow for sure.

I sent the first iron Winfield to a member for testing on his race car. It should be there by Thursday. Hopefully it works fine. Fingers crossed.

I'm going to pick up the crow's foot sample today and machine it asap.

Supposedly, cores for the next blocks will be ready in a couple of weeks. We will pour samples with the new core process as soon as possible.

Thanks for keeping up posted.

I am getting excited about one day having a good "new" upgraded block.

We appreciate all the effort you have put into this and the other parts you are making.

I sure will. Probably over on the HAM. It's easier.

I will probably start on it this afternoon.

Hey Juggler,
Appears to be near 6:1, eh
Nice looking, but won't hold a candle to the iron crowsfoot ...I'm thinking

I hope to have it on my car next weekend.

Todd you have made a superior part and it's nothing less than what I had expected to see when they were discussed when you first started.
congratulations on the fortitude to march on with all of the problems you have had to overcome. Bravo
