Default Open & close the coolant petcock

Opening & closing a hard to turn lower water pipe petcock while draining the radiator requires strength, coordination & a bit of contortionism. An easy solution is to clamp a small pair of Visegrips to the handle, makes it easy.

Or just take it off and restore it...

penetrating oil usually helps to free them up .
