Default Rag Top Protection

Need to clean and treat the top on my 34 Cabriolet, I looked in the search and did not find anything under my heading, what product would or do you use to clean, protect canvas/rag top cars?

Auto body and marine supply places have those types of products. I have used Maclco fabric cleaners, and Mary Kate protecterant and waterproofing. 3M also makes that type of product. Malco I believe is on OHIO and typically distributes through Auto body supply houses. Mary Kate & 3M auto body and marine supply houses. How is the Allen Distributor machine working out that you got from Dan ?

Nothing will protect it from the sun except your garage. ...Actually, my garage would be better.

I understand Ford38v8, I have kept it in garage to much this year, snow on the way, just 3 hours drive time north in Columbus, Ohio today. Top is very dusty, if you pat it up from inside car the dust bounces up, might try a vacuum cleaner first with the wide attachment. Would like to clean but do not what to use detergent, might create a BIG problem (leak, stain). Russcc, looked at product, will investigate.

I have used Woolite on my tops. If it is good enough for madams dainties, it is good enough for my top.

Look into the RaggTopp products. They're recommended by every convertible fabric manufacturer, Sunbrella, etc. The RaggTopp products work, plain & simple.

The recommendation my dad always had was to rub in corn starch to absorb any dirt and grime, then thouroghly vaccum the starch out.
