Does anyone know the Timkin # or Napa # for the rear drum axle seals on a 1939. I am looking for some USA made seals also will need the fronts if anyone has the number handy also.

Thanks Mike

'40-'48 Ford car (not sure if '39 are the same)

NAPA front #15730
NAPA rear # 20538

Unfortuneatly, I doubt even NAPA's are USA made anymore.

As far as I know, neither NAPA nor Timken ever manufactured their own brand of seals. They either contracted National (Federal Mogul) Victor or Chicago Rawhide (O.E. Manufacturers) to supply them with their needs. In fact the last time I looked at a seal box at my local Napa store, Federal Mogul was in small print under the part number. National and Chicago Rawhide still manufacture in the U.S. Not to say that they don't manufacture some sizes in Mexico. You could call Federal Mogul in Southfield Mi. and inquire. You could also check with Joblot in Queens Village, N.Y. or Olcar Bearing in Southern Pines N.C. 910-693-3324 for any N.O.S.

If you want USA, Rich's suggestion of Olcar Bearing is a good one. George is very helpful.
