Default flywheel removal in A block

clutch problems this past week-end, so pulled engine out and found destroyed clutch disc and ruined flywheel--old style with 9" clutch-can't get the flywheel to come out of the bell housing even with engine oil pan removed--what's going on? It appears to be hanging up on the flywheel studs and won't move to side enough to drop down

Model A block or 59A block?

I'm guessing 59A block.

Try and see if one dowel has come out of the crank halfway. You might be able to tap it back in. You might cheat a few extra thou of clearance by having the two dowels straight across, that is parallel with the sump face.

Other than that, you have the parts in front of you, you should be able to see what is causing the foul.

Mart.

Mart fouling was caused by two too long dowell pins, I was finally able to get it off, but just barely by aligning the dowell pins straight across 9 and 3 oclock
