Default 1936 rumble seat hinge question

I was replacing the rumble lid bumpers on my roadster. Was looking at the pivot/rotation point on the hinge. It appears the upside down A shaped hinge bracket that attaches to the deck lid should be pinned to the shaft with shaft rotating in the cast piece bolted the the inner fender/trunk wall? Is that correct? Mine pivots at the bracket attached to the lid. There is a hole in both bracket and the shaft that makes me thinks there should be a pin of some kind in there. If the is correct what does the pin look like? Thanks

I believe our 38 conv. coupe used a 1/4'' bolt for that

Completely through the A bracket and through the hole in the pin is a 1/4" bolt. The retaining nut & lock washer for the bolt is on the other side of the A bracket.
