Default General Banjo question

Will a 1935 top-loader 3-speed transmission connect directly to a 30-31 Banjo rear-end? Thanks

You just need to swap in the outer U-joint cover from the V8, any '32-48, because bolt positions are wrong on the A part. Look at the U-joint... some A ones are made out of riveted strap (think erector set) and should be replaced with a forged one, all V-8 and some A. That's it.

Yes, the outer one...I think the pictured one is the V8. A's have bolt holes placed differently.
