The repo outer door handles do not go through the oval hole in the door skin. Do I grind the handle or the door skin?

Short answer: Never modify an original Ford to accommodate a repo part.

Compare the replacement handles with the originals to be sure that they are, in fact, correct. You may have the wrong handles. The right ones don't require body modification. Getting incorrect parts is very common today. At our shop we fight that battle with parts places even for new vehicles. Parts men that know there stock are getting rare. We order from C&G because they actually know the parts. We dropped several suppliers because they habitually make mistakes.

I ground 1/16th off the top and bottom. Now they fit. Thanks guys.
