Default Pickup Bed (Late "T")

Purportedly the initial Model “A” pickup bed was a 'carry-over' from the late production Model ”T” ... doubt this was a direct carry-over. I would like to know the specifications of the “length, width, height” of the late (’27) Model “T” pickup bed.

The Pickup Body (Bed) of my January ’28 Open Pickup measures 57” long x 40-1/2” wide x 15” high (inside). I’m aware the Model “A” bed was redesigned in Apr-May ’28, including slightly shortening the length of the bed.

Please email me directly [email protected]
Photos of the “T” bed be would be helpful and appreciated!

That's interesting -- my '31 bed are the same measurements mentioned.

Definitely not an expert on this but didn't the T bed have a cut out in the front to access the battery? Don't go by what I say but check it out.

Another thought you shouldn't request people email you the answer instead of posting it. People will ask themselves why should I go to the trouble of sending an email, he probably already has the answer. People will think if you don't want to go the trouble to check the site for posts you aren't very serious about the question. A final thought is if the answer is emailed directly to you there will be no one to see it and comment on its accuracy.

The Ford T bed is different from the A. The late '27 bed not as tall, and has moulding flange that mates with the curvature of the Ford T runabout/coupe rear fender used on the runabout pickups. Ford T literature with the dimensions too.
