Your motor is particularly well detailed. Very nice!

It has been a few years and I have not updated my progress very well, so I thought I would add a few pictures regarding my speedster which is morphing into a modified roadster.

Sure is a shame you poked holes in that cowl for that antenna when all you needed to do was mount it horizontally along the frame rail under the running board apron.

It will work just as well.

Well, the holes were there from the last antenna and I wanted a 50s retro look sooooo......And besides the racoon tail will look better on this antenna.

Regarding the tires. Those are 5.50 X 18" good year tires on a 32 ford rims.

Your welcome. I hope to finish painting the car this week and start the assembly process which shouldn't take more than a week.

I have the same set up on the carbs on my speedster . I am running model b . I put a four inche drop front axel . This cause a float level problems. Had to make aluminum tapped spacers between the carbs and the intake. It's still a little off . It still idles at 1000 rpms . If set lower it dies . Just haven't taken the time to remake spacers . Besides that everything else is fine . It's a blast to drive down the road .

The rear half were panels I made from scratch for the sides and an old 57 chevy hood to give it that turtle back look along with some ford patch panels to give it that ford look along the bottom of the car. 59 caddy tailights are going into the french cones I installed on the chevy hood.

I have the speedster registered as a 1931 Ford roadster-modified. The car is licensed and insured and it runs wonderful. I am very pleased with the performance of this roadster.

Yes it needs a coon tail! Lots of horse power, should be fun to drive.

I couldn't resist putting a coon tail on it. I even have the aviator bomber hats to go with the car. They are quite comfortable and warm when I am out driving in 45 deg f weather. I am looking forward to driving it through the fall colors. The car zips along at 60 mph without any effort at all.

The hood of the roadster was made from a stock Model A hood where I cut the loovers out of and framed it in like a picture frame. The trunk was built out of 57 chevy hood and was modified with french cones and 59 cadillac tailights. Basically it was all the junk laying around the garage these past 20 years. Thank you for the compliment. It is as fun to drive as it looks. It is a glorified go cart and I am loving it.
