Steel fan
Many years ago my '30 Tudor threw a fan blade. So, I am sensitive to this subject! I recently bought a nice '30 coupe and I was expecting to need to change my fan to a cast aluminum one, but I see it is apparently cast steel (confirmed with a magnet), not the old stamped/folded version. It doesn't have any visible cracks. Is this a stock variation? Should I be happy? Comments?

Re: Steel fan
I have those on two of my A's and an aluminum on other one! No problems for years-check now and then for visible cracks. I did have them magnafluxed and balanced years ago.
