Default There really was color

When I see a line of beautifully colored classic cars at a car show I wonder whether the 40's really were in color since most pictures and movies of real life are black and white. Stumbled onto this great video of real life cars in full color driving the streets when our cars were new. See if you can find one like yours. Great nostalgic piece going back in time.

I spotted a '39 standard sedan at the end of the film.

Yes. Now days when you drive down the street American cars are the minority. Kind of like when you walk down the sidewalk in Vegas.

A lot more cars with white wall tires than I would have thought. Guess I didn't pay enough attention back then, but I was only 7 !

Brought back some memories, my Aunt worked for Neisner Bros. from WWII to the early sixties. Thanks for the trip.

I had forgotten how good Calvin and Hobbs was. That and Pogo were the best comics ever.

Don't forget 'The Far Side' by Gary Larson....
