Default Mallory distributor parts availability

I see there a couple different model Mallory distributors for the model A. I have been told that parts are available for one of them. Which one is it?
TIA

Mallory has been bought out a couple times and it seems whoever owns it now is not interested in the 4 cylinder market, try Mercruiser. I've gotten a couple dist. parts from them.

Pat Mason Racing Ignitions can help you as well out my way here in PA. Just set up an old Pounden-Gerde Mag for me that most other guys wouldn't touch.

He is asking WHAT ones are easier to get parts for not who to get parts from(but having some suggestion on who is helpful). There some Mallory's that are next to impossible to the any replacement parts like the early one with the thread hole for the ignition grounding switch cable.

All the correct answers will be all too clear once you have a nice little conversation with Jim Linder at Bubba's Ignitions.

Well, Bubba didn't reply. So once again what model Mallory is it still possible to get parts for?

My question is which Mallory distributor is the easiest to get replacement parts for. Fordcragar answered it.
Now all I have to do is find one.

About the only part that I have EVER needed to replace in our Mallory distributors has been the condenser . The so called modern condenser that is used with the mid fifties to early seventies V8 Fords works good for me as long as its not the cheap China repro .

I have a Mallory YL 11A - that is the single point model. There are some points available on HAMB right now but I believe they are Ford points actually. And as mentioned about any condenser will work, just watch the MFR.
According to what I'm seeing - I can get a rotor & cap on Amazon. Not cheap but they say they're available. I haven't bought one but you can check.

Funny thing with my dizzy is there is a machined spot on the housing for the dist. hold down screw to go into. That sort of surprised me. I didn't picture that. Most more modern distributors would be able to be rotated about anywhere. But I'm a newbie. So, I'm just not sure yet. Like most modern dist. the cam is not "adjustable". As I said - newbie so most of you probably already know this.

To set the timing , the Mallory distributors must be rotated like modern distributors . The Mallory distributors that I have point mostly to number four cylinder contact in the distributor cap when installed on the head . To make things simple , I rotate the plug wires so that the old number four plug wire location is now number one . the firing iorder is 1243 on the model A&B engines . A timing indicator can be installed near the crank pulley so that a timing light can be used to fine tune the timing . I usually rotate the distributor as necessary to tune mine by ear .

The YL 11A or B is a nice distributor also 2501105 ( same dist. number was changed). I get my parts from Summit Racing. MSD bought out Mr. Gasket who bought out Prestolite who bought out on and on and on. Hard to get parts for the YA YC . The 2301105 is the latest one they've made. They have a larger red cap.
Points and cond. for the YL 11, 2501105 and 2301105 points MSD 25042X
cond. MSD 400
Cap and rotor for YL 11 and 2501105 cap MSD 225
rotor MSD 320M
If you can see it my avatar the dist. is a YL 11. You will find them on the Ford Barn or sometimes on Evil Bay. Good luck.
