I think it would look funny like a 28/29 lightbar on a 30/31 likewise 30 /31 wheels on a 29.
They will fit but just don't look right.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so if YOU like it, do it. You probably need to use 28-29 fender braces also.

Saw a '30 Coupe with '29 fenders & splash shields, looked OK, a "little" odd, but passable.

The fender brackets are the same. Not sure about the splash aprons.

the fender brackets are NOT the same. you have to use the 29 fender brackets and the head light bar.

I have done it the other way.

30 fenders on a 28 body.

I think the 28-29 Front fenders are a nicer design the way they flow over the tire. The 28-29 fender brackets will have to be uses to fit the fender shape and match the headlight bar holes in the fender. Not sure about the running board, splash apron mating. Bob

Also you will have to use the 28/9 splash aprons and the running boards.

Then you have a minor problem of the fit of the splash apron curve to the rear fender.

The '30 Coupe I saw, with '29 fenders & splash shields, I asked, "Any fitment problems"?----"I don't know, it was that way when I bought it"--
I once "did" a chopped & channeled '32 P.U. cab, on a Model A chassis & built a really neat "suicide" front end. I "grafted" on the ass end of a '29 Sport Coupe, then sold it.
Last time I saw it, the new owner had put in a '49 Olds with Hydramatic! He was going back & forth in his DIRT driveway, with a speedo cable & Miscellaneous wiring draggin' under it!!

You might also need to use the hood stand-off rails for the 28/29 for the hood latches. But I think that depends which hood you use. The 30/31 hood side panels I think are longer which means you wouldn't need the rails as they would reach the fender top.

Reminds me of the story (a true story) of the guy who told of being in the George Washington (as in our first President) Memorial Museum in Williamsburg, Virginia.
There the man saw a glass enclosed display that had an axe, leaning against a tree.
The display had a sign that read: "Original Axe used by George Washington to chop down a Cherry tree".
The man was impressed that such an item of every day - and hard use - item, such as an axe, had lasted so long. And I too was impressed that it had lasted so long.
Upon finding the Museum's Curator, the man asked for additional details about this remarkably long-lasting farm tool.
The Curator explained that, "Yes, Indeed, that is the original axe used by George Washington".

"Of course the wooden axe handle had been replaced twice."
"And too, the iron Head had been replace once."

- "But otherwise the axe is pretty much original".

If you are doing this because you don't have any 30 fenders....OK.

But if you are doing this just to be different, maybe you should do a photoshop model....

I think early fenders on an improved A will look weird.

Imagine pre 25 Model T fenders on an early A .

I think the 28/29 fenders fit the tires better!
