Default Truck bell housing

I have a bell housing from a 1949 F-1 that had a granny gear 4 speed. Are these useful for any of the transmission conversions?

My impression was they're called hogsheads and I can see the resemblance. But I'm not sure. I seem to remember something about them being easily adapted for later Ford trans'.

The bell housing covers the clutch and flywheel and bolts to the 8BA engine. The hogshead is bolted to the four-speed transmission and to the bell housing. The hogshead is commonly used as the base for transmission adaptors.
