Default Are all A frames the same?

Will a model A frame work with any body style?

Yes, but there were some differences in front crossmembers. Also many other changes. Most frames will work (although not correct) for most body styles. Late 31 cowl bolt holes were changed. Too many little changes to list here. If you are not a little detail person it might not matter to you. For me I like the details to match the time frame of the car. Rod

Just beware of the front cross member. 28-29 versus 30-31 radiator mounts, if you want your hood to line up. Just my 2 cents.

I was surprised that I have frames with both RH steering hole and one without. Most I have seen have steering box hole on both sides?

Figured it out. The frame I have with no RH hole is a Feb 1930 frame. Hole was removed January 1930. Makes sense now. Thanks to Steve Plucker The Frame - Evolution of the Model A Frame
for the info.

Must have taken Henry a while to figure out if the scrap slugs being thrown back into the melting pot was worth more or less than the punching of the holes....

There's an extra body mounting bracket on either side (towards the rear) of a late Frame that I have. Still not absolutely sure what Ford needed that extra bolt-down bracket for. Maybe for a Victoria or a Deluxe Delivery body?

Some are for one swing, others are for two or three swings:
