Default wedges

My '36 half-ton had 3 wedges between cab and frame per side . . .

(per side, to be placed atop each other for frontal-cab height adjustment.)

So minimal - the adjustment! Reason? Thank you.

Were these wedges all the same size? Are there "standard" measurements, or are they just cut to fit?

All the same size, notches, so they fit together when adjusting them back and forth; i.e., for height?. One-inch wide. one by one +- (near the frontal cab bolts.

It's been 20 yrs+- ago. The shop pulled the cab (for frame painting) and there they were!(unstacked but very close together on top of the frame .) After painting, I put 'em back, stacked, same each side; viewed as the cab was bolted tight.

I can't imagine the difference that they would make, for whatever their purpose, but they were there for a reason, obviously. Truck is 150 mi east, but still on the road!

Hopefully someone has some info. Got me hangin'.

Does your cab have the wooden platforms that were there when assembled?
