35' gas tank ID

Is there a way to tell if a gas tank is for a 35' panel ???

Found a guy who has a barn full of all sorts of gas tanks and has
about a dozen that look very close to online photos.

My panel's tank had absolutely no bottom so I removed the filler pipe
and sending unit and discarded it 30 years ago when I dismantled
the truck. Dumb move on my part.

take your sending unit---up to 35 was hydrostatic, 36 was electric, different size, if you find a tank your sender fits it is at least 35 or earlier---

Which panel delivery version do you have, the 112" wheelbase commercial version or one of the larger versions on truck chassis?

Ford 35, If you have the 112" wheelbase panel delivery, then it is the same tank as used in the 35 pickup. 35 tanks have a small hole on top to receive the 35 hydrostatic gas sending unit. The panel/pickup tank will have a different filler neck connection than the passenger car doe that year. See enclosed photos.
