Default Bumper wing tips - need for 46 - 48 car got scammed

Here's a new one fellas,

Bought a PAIR of bumper tips for my 1946 sedan on Ebay. Photos only showed one wing and the other was laying sideways in all the photos. Since the listing was for a PAIR, I assumed a pair is one LEFT side and one RIGHT side to make a complete bumper. What I got was two of the right side tips! Now, I guess I could install one on each bumper but it probably would look a little funny! If anyone has a line on two of the left sides (or even one) I would appreciate any leads you could send my way! PS - the guy claims he thought they were a set of left and right. Maybe he lost the others...

Any help appreciated! PM me, thanks!

Jim: I hope you gave the appropriate feedback. If the seller has a conscience he should have refunded your money unless he specifically stated he had 2 for the same side. Folks like that should be reported.

I will be bringing a set of four(two rights and two lefts) to the LA Fathers Day swap meet. Not likely that I would ship anything. The continuous changes to that event make it impossible to say what seller space. Good Luck: Fred A

Jim, I ended up buying 9 total bumper wingtips for my 1948 Deluxe business coupe before I found a complete set I was satisfied with the fit ( Wife claims I'm OCD, Ha!).
Lucked out and found a pair of NOS for the front. The left overs I have would need rechromed with exception of one. If you wanted to go that route I'm up in Schuylkill county which isn't that far from you. If you're satisfied with the fit of the two you have you might hold on to them and watch EBAY for two more with good chrome to complete the set. It probably took me two years to find a complete set I was satisfied with. I think I paid $150 for the NOS set with shipping and I didn't think I could rechrome a pair for that...

File a claim, good idea, always felt there was some level of safety/security using Ebay and its my understanding that you can do that. I'd guess that was a scam, cant imagine an antique car person would not recognize that there's a right and left if they are what I'm thinking they look like

UPDATE: Maybe I mis-identified what I got. If you are sitting in the driver seat I have a left front tip and a right rear tip (which are the same). So what I NEED are the right front and left rear (also the same). I was identifying them as looking at the car from outside but I guess this was incorrect! Sorry for the confusion. I will post a photo later. Thanks to all who responded...still looking.

PS - I would send them back to the guy, but they are in decent shape so I would prefer to try to find the two missing ones if possible.

With logic like that, looks like you were the right guy to dump the non pair on.

Here is a photo of the 2 tips he sent me. As I said, they are actually in decent shape and could be presentable as-is for a driver without re-chroming. Just need to locate their opposites! If you have one (or both) please PM me a photo if you would we willing to part with it and what you would want for it. Thanks fellas! And thanks for those that already replied!
