Looking for a friend in the Ford V8 club
I am hoping that someone will be able to help me locate a friend that I have lost contact for the last 12 years. His name is David James he owned or a 1936 /1938 / 1939 or one of these three Ford years with a V8 / 60 and a 1940 Lincoln Zephyr 5 window coupe they were both black cars and he lived in Fairfield Calif. I had rebuilt both of his engines at the time. Last I knew Dave had moved to Nevada. Thanks for the help

There is nobody named James in Nevada in the 2010 Roster of Members of the Early Ford V-8 club. Maybe you should try to Google him?

Re: Looking for a friend in the Ford V8 club
I have tried to Google him with no luck. Here is a picture of his car that was on the cover back in March / April 1997. Trying to find him and see how he is doing.
Thanks !! Frenchy |

Re: Looking for a friend in the Ford V8 club
Quote from Frenchie above. "His name is David James he owned a 1936 Ford with a V8 / 60" The 60 HP didn't come out until 37 did it? Older minds get a little thin on memory, and inquiring minds want to know. lol

The car on the cover looks like a '38 Ford Deluxe.

Look again Lawson, it says '38. Old eyes sometimes play tricks on most of us. Hope to see you at the Moonshine Festival. Vic

Re: Looking for a friend in the Ford V8 club
I've gone through every state in the directory and didn't find him listed. Is there any other details you can provide such as full name and last known street address?

Good eye Jerry. I blew the picture up to get a better look and you are correct about it being a '39 Standard. I can see the sloping roof-line to rear body panels, and it is surly a '39. . .

Re: Looking for a friend in the Ford V8 club
My eyes deceive me sometimes. The pickup is now all in one pile except for the front bumper. Almost on the road. Need to check out the distributor after leaving the key on, then clean him up and he will be ready to go. Will post pictures when I get it all cleaned up. Thanks for asking.
