Default Motometer

There has been much discussion in the past about repair parts for Boyce Motometers. Restoration supply can supply the thermometer for the Sr. size but not the Jr. Has anyone found a source for the Jr. thermometer?

No one that I have seen in many years has supplied the Jr. meter thermometer new. One of those you can buy them new or where do they get parts from to rebuild for the Kingston carb questions, they are not listed anywhere.

The Junior size replacement motor meters have been made by Vintique for quite a few years and before that by Greenland Company. They used to offer a full line of replacement parts including the thermometer. However the sale of replacement thermometers was halted quite a few years ago and a Vintique source at the time told me over the phone that they stopped offering them because the replacement installation is difficult. perhaps you would say tricky, and they had so many customers asking for free thermometer replacements, to replace ones broken during installation, that they stopped making extra thermometers for replacement use. Again I was given this info over the phone years ago at the time they discontinued them.
