The body was originally a Briggs Fordor Sedan, 1928-29. The back portion was cut off and attached to the cowl section.
Last Saturday I attended the Amana Colonies Model A Day (in Iowa) with our 1928 Phaeton. There was a similar conversion "pickup truck" on display with about 60-70 other Model A's. At first glance, one would think it was a closed cab pick up. But the cowl was wrong for 1928-29. Sure enough! It was a converted Fordor Sedan like the one in your pictures! A pretty nicely done job, too. It made me look twice. I wish I had taken a photo of it.
