Default Slant Pole Coil Polarity...

Most, if not all, Slant Pole Coils had the positive (+) terminal on the left side (drivers side) of the coil. When the change was made to the Stright Pole Coil in December 1929, the polarity was reversed and the positive (+) terminal was on the right side (passenger side) (this was, I believe, the reason for the reverse of the red and black wires).

That being said, was there ever any Slant Pole Coils assembled in late 1929 where the polarity was that of the Stright Pole Coils? From reading the Standards, it sounds like there was...IF I am reading it right.

Thanks.

Pluck

Yes, I have one of the late 1929 slant pole coils with reversed terminals. It's the only one I've seen of the 40 or so I've checked.
