Default Two tooth steering column

Anyone have any input on cotton picker 00 in the steering box? I have fresh new rebuilt two tooth column and have a very slow drip. It has been gone through three times with all new gaskets and seals and continues to have a slow drip. Someone said Cotton Picker 00 was a good solution compared to 600 weight oil?

Thoughts before I add to the fresh gear box?

Have you installed one of these?

STEERING HOUSING END PLATE WITH TUBE
A-3568-T 29-31
For the 2-tooth steering gear assemblies. This tube replaces the end plate on the steering column and has a tube that goes up above the oil level to prevent oil leaking. The tube is welded to the end plate. U.S.A.
Quantity: $9.50 EA

Snyders and Brattons at least both carry them.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes I have replaced everything at the steering box as well as inside the steering column as you suggested. I appreciate the knowledge and advice.

Cornhead 00 is a thixtropic, self leveling grease. I have it in my u joint, but I use steering grease from California restorations in my steering box. It is a self leveling grease as well. I don’t have to add oil every couple of weeks.

Where is it dripping from. With the tube extension and new gaskets, you should not have a drip from the bottom through the light switch. If it is leaking from the sector shaft, it could be that your bushings are too loose. What did you do for the sector shaft seal ?
