Default Please identify carb if you don't mind

I picked up this carb yesterday and I didn't see any numbers or writing on it. Maybe I missed them as I have glasses on order and my sight ain't as sharp as it used to be. Any rate, I am not a carb expert so I am asking if someone can easily identify it. The thing needs cleaning for sure. Not sure if it is rebuildable or not.

Thanks for any info or helpful guidance.

In your first picture top left it should state Tilltson made in the USA, I do not see it, in the third picture there should be an oblong shape cast there, with either no marking, or an X or XF, the markings only denoted who and when it was made, this maybe a pirated copy of a Tillotson.
Then do work well with good fuel mileage, but do command some attention to make them that way, warpage is there biggest problem easily overcome with a little work.

I just pulled out my magnifier and with some better lighting I found some lettering that was embossed, but worn down. On the bottom section, towards the right in photograph #1 (Where the air filter would attach), the lettering states Industria Argentina. I can find no other letters at all, anywhere on the carb body.

If this is a Tillotson, is there a model number for ordering the gasket or repair kit?

I have not opened it up, so I am not sure if there is any real warpage at this point or not.

i did look at the Renner's Corner web site and there look like a similar carb there. It was an RC9510A3 carb and had the X embossed on the side of the bowl. Mine has no such letter there. Not sure if this was the same carb or not. Wondering if it was originally off of a farm machinery engine or something?

If I understand correctly the warpage will occur between the carb throttle body and the intake manifold. I could be wrong, it mat be between the two halves. Either way you can tape down some fine grit wet/dry and take it out and even it out. Sounds like an Argentine copy of the Tillotson which you can get parts at any of the major suppliers. The 'X' should indicate that it is a Model X which is the carb Ford put on Model A's in the mid 30's if your zenith died for some reason.

The warp is often between the cover and bowl too. While the mounting flange isn't too hard to fix, the cover to bowl is a different story.

Lucky you! I have one just like yours. Yes, it is a "copy" of the popular Tilly! Until now, I'd not seen (even a pix) another one. Is yours for sale? [email protected]

Model B! The float goes crosswise to the Center line on the car. An A carb is parallel to the center line and will sometimes cause the engine to shut off during hard stops.

Yours looks similar to a new one that I purchased several years ago in Argentina from a local new car parts store there:

....and two used ones:

On mine, the markings on the bowl (which I guess your's does not have) are kind of obvious.
