X2..... This is why your lights did not work! It had nothing to do with the "C" clip! Re-install the "C" clip properly and index the switch properly (so the spider tabs line up with the corresponding holes in the switch). Do it right and be done with it! I just went through this very same thing over the weekend with my Dad's car and it really was a piece of cake!

BTW, I like the yard stick trick. I used a small bungie cord...

Just get yourself a liscense plate that says " HORN BROKEN, WATCH FOR FINGER!" That should do it just fine.

I did. I made sure the switch was in the correct position (my Dad was holding it in the off position so it wouldnt move) and installed the 'C' clip. I was surprised how easy it was to put in. I then put the harness back together and as I stated in a previous post, the lights were stuck on and the switch wouldnt move freely. No biggie, it works fine without it. The added benefit of the .01 ounces of weight savings by not using the 'C' clip also increased the old Coupe's top speed by three MPH.
