Re: clutch plate stuck
If it is running but bumper against tree of something solid with a tire in between and with car in gear turn over started while pumping clutch, might just do it. I has worked a couple of times for me. Pete/Ct

Re: clutch plate stuck
Did the clutch ever work? I'm curious about your statement that " throw out bearing does not reach the plate arms". If the throw out bearing cannot or does not reach the pressure plate arms, the clutch will always remain engaged. Was the clutch changed as part of the restoration? Was the clutch adjustment changed? Were any parts of the clutch linkage changed? Something seems a bit askew here.

Re: clutch plate stuck
Henry im with you on this, the only way the t/o bearing cant touch the fingers is that the pressure plate is stuck in the relase position and the clutch is stuck to both the flywheel and pressure plate, sounds like a bunch of moisture has been getting to them

Re: clutch plate stuck
look thru inspection window on bellhousing....does depressing and letting out the clutch move the throw out bearing forward and back??...if clutch is depressed, the throw out bearing doesn't touch the the pressure plate arms??....interesting....does it look like a lot of rust inside there??....Mike
