Default Towing

I am going to trailer my tudor approx. 250 miles. Should I leave transmission in gear or in neutral, also emergency brake on or off. Thanks, Bob

Most certainly have it in gear with the emergency brake on. Also strapped down in four places!
Have a GREAT trip!

In gear w/E brake on is preferred, but it really doesn't matter, as long as the car is properly tied down.

I prefer to have the trans in neutral, e-brake on and strapped down at all 4 corners. A's, and all 4 cylinder cars, tend to have problems keeping the flywheel bolts tight, and with the trans in gear it's possible to have the engine working back and forth while moving.

I also have blocked the tires in addition to Jim’s method.

Leave it out of gear. No matter how secure it's tied down, you still risk movement between the car and the trailer, which can break off the teeth on the transmission gears.
