Default Broken Motometer working again

I had a reproduction Motometer that stopped working, broken thermometer. Since the replacement thermometers are not available I updated it with a digital thermometer. I found a digital meat thermometer that just fits inside the Motometer case. I did some tests and found that the temperature reading at the bottom of the Motometer was 10 to 20 degrees lower than the actual coolant temperature because it was measuring the air above the coolant. This was also the case if I installed a wick to draw the water up to the bottom of the Motometer. So I extended the probe of the digital thermometer. I drilled a small hole in the radiator baffle for the probe which allows the end of the probe to extend down into the coolant. And yes the numbers are large enough to be readable from the drivers seat.
