Default Alumnium heads -Thomas - Weiand

I like alumn heads....I run a Thomas on my RPU... and a Weiand (why and) on my closed cab.....The don't are (1) don't choke or you'll foul the plugs (2) don't use copper gasket...three different metals w/coff. of expand. (3) don't use stud and head bolts, use grade eight bolts ....also not good for parade driving
I like running alumn water pump, alumn fan and alumn gooseneck with them

NOstalgicford: Looks like you are running the same WEiand that I have on my babbitt bearing speedster. I also use the alum gooseneck with a Best gasket. I had to cut .025 off the top of the pistons to get them even with the deck because of the no flycut on the head. Runs great, no probs. I would only add for anyone interested in an alum head to use the sacrifical zinc strip in teh radiator that the suppliers have.

What head gasket do you use for the Thomas?
