Default Early 28 Carb?

After restoring one carb I thought I would try another and started to disassemble another one I have that I thought was a double venturi. Somebody had worked on the carb because some things were not right. The bowl has the indented zenith on the front, no threads for the secondary well, and a brass GAV which point to early 28. But there is a vent hole in the lower bowl and some parts that do not belong. Furthermore, I am not sure if the top matches. Can somebody clear this up?

The top was used from 1928-Sept-1931 on Zenith Carbs. The Bottom was used from 1927-June-1928 on Zenith Carbs..

The bowl is actually the second generation Zenith with dowel pins on both front and back. It was used from February through July 1928.

So the tops and bottoms match and it is a double venturi?

How are the repro double venturis? A and L sells them and they are usually pretty spot on. I know a guy who rebuilds carbs and he literally has a bucket full of repro venturis that he says don't work.

The double venturi carbs used a different throttle butter fly so don't mix them up.

I bought a double venturi from A&L, and it looks great, but I haven't run the carb yet.
