Steering
Hi.
My model A pickup steering has alot of play, can it be adjusted out? or do I need to buy a new? Thank you Mike |

a 2 tooth can be adjusted, if that where the play is. A 7 tooth cannot. You need to assess the entire system to find the slop. Instructions for adjusting the box are in the Service Bulletins. This subject is frequently discussed here, most recently last week. Search steering and you'll find lots of talk on it.

Les Andrews also has good instructions in his books on adjusting the steering. It is easy to do on the bench but it also can be done in the car.
