What do you like to use on the radiator shell and other chrome on the car?

On shiny stuff i like eagle one never dull - silver can has cotton soaked in stuff inside. Pinch of a chew sized piece and massage on the metal - will clean it amazingly clean. Let it dry to a haze and buff with clean cloth.

NEVER-DULL wuz created for the Navy fur shinin' the "TOP BRASS'S" buttons & HERO badges.--LOL Stinks like s**t when OLD, but still works good.
Had a WHITE Plymouth with little rough "bumpies" under the deck lid paint, from rust. Hit them with 3,000 grit sandpaper, went over them with Old type chrome polish, kept it waxed & it looked good for 3 years, until I could afford a COMPLETE paint job.
Iffin' you have paint cracks in your BLACK fenders, scrub them with a toothbrush & paint thinner, then rub the cracks with BLACK Shoe Wax & they almost distappear!

I used to brag about Wenol until I found "Mother's Chrome Polish" It's easy to apply and remove and is available in most auto parts stores.

Actually Nevr Dull was invented to polish airplanes. Made them slicker to fly faster. Works great for metal polish too.

Bill,
Is "Shoe Wax" the same as "Shoe Polish" or is "Shoe Wax" some specialty product? I'm not trying to be a smart ass, just wonderin'. Smitty

Shoe Wax was just BLACK wax in a flat can. One brand was "KIWI"-- It was/is common. It comes in different COLOURS.

A local AACA club member once told me to rub chrome down with peanut butter. Never have tried it but he swore by that said it worked wonders.

Used to use Turtle Wax Chrome Cleaner in the 70's when cars had actual chrome plating.

SimiChrome, developed in Germany, is good stuff. I've used that product too.

Never-Dull is good for your silver reflectors on your headlights and the nickeled parts like your dash and dash light, gear shift lever, etc.

I worked on a used car lot in high school and Jr College in the 1960's and the best cleaner for Chrome was 000 steel wool. I still use it today on chrome!!

I like Flitz polish the best, especially on nickel.

Auto-Sol works well. It's just for polishing metal.
