Default Highboy headlight and shock brackets

I am working on a 32 Highboy Roadster. I am trying to figure out the best way to mount tube shocks and how to mount head lights. I have a set of F-1 upper shock mounts that I salvaged from behind a neighbors barn. I also have a bent up model A headlight bar. Does anybody have any pics of how they could be married together

Not a great angle, but maybe you can see. I used a bent up model A light bar, and a set of F-1 shock mounts. The headlight cups are welded to the upright on the shock mount. I cut it off about 4 to 5 inches from the cup. I also cut and turned the bottom mounting then rewlded dfor the shock mount to align with the two holes for the front crossmember rivets.

I saw that but I am not a stainless fan. I guess I could paint it. Half the fun is building it myself though.

Mine are similar to Ralphs but mine is an A frame . F1 in rivet holes and ends of model A bar welded on.
I made a jig to weld them the same.

Ralph M, what is the ride height of those shocks. And is your lower shock arm welded to the axle. I have some lower shock mounts that mount to the underside of the front wishbone. I end up with a ride height of 15 inches unless I shorten the F-1 upper mounts

I made some cups for the lights and some brackets that attach them to the shock mounts. I did not end up using them so they are available. I will try to list them tomorrow in the classifieds.

Shock ride height is 11-1/2 inches. I made my own custom lower mount that is a bung welded to where the spring perch used to be on the 37 to 41 front wishbone. These were the shortest Shocks I could find with the chrome covers that I wanted.

Thanks so much for those pics. Next time I am North Pole I will buy you one. I take it you drilled out rivet holes to 7/16

Yes, take care to align the crossmember, so drilling them out bigger doesn’t cut though the bottom edge of the crossmember.

Yep, They replace the washer on the shock mount next to the shock bushing.
