Default Broken Park brake cable in 52 ford sedan

My park brake cable is broken under the dash. I just purchased the car. I bought parts from C &G. Now I have to figure out how to repair it. I do not have a garage or a lift. Is there a video for 52 - 56 Ford cable repair?

Just need good floor jack and jack stands to lift drivers side to access cable.
These are just a few shots from another vehicle that may give a direction as to what needs to be done to transfer the cable.

Thank you. Do I feed the New Cable assembly up from under the car or do I feed it down thru the hole in the floor after attaching to the handle?

Unbolt the handle assembly from the car and assemble the cable to it then push it thru the firewall (let gravity be your friend ) then bolt assembly back in and replace remainder as it was. It could be done in reverse also. Just a matter of figuring it out.

See attached layout.

I did the repair yesterday. I haven't been that dirty greasy in decades. Had to remove the front tire to see the hole from underneath. There isn"t much pull on the main cables. I'll drive it around the block and exercise the brake to see if it starts working.
I slept till 11am... I'll be 77 tomorrow and i'm having fun again.
My wife wasn't in on purchasing the car so she is still a little pissed. She named it "Buelah" . So at least she talks about it now without growling...ha ha ha!!
Thank for your help. JP Lutz

You will probably have to adjust the assembly to remove cable slack at these points without putting drag on the brakes.

When I first hooked up the cable there wasn't enough slack to reach the ratchet marks on the rod. I corrected that so the handle pulls up about three clicks. I didn't drive it today so I don't know if it works yet.
