'38 fuel tank capacity?
This '38 deluxe has a new steel fuel tank on it. It is 8 1/2" deep at the fuel gauge sender. Can I assume it has the original capacity, and what is the capacity of the original?
Thanks, Gene |

Re: '38 fuel tank capacity?
I don't know who made the tank, it was on the car when I bought it. It could be a Drake, I see some of the other parts on the car are by him. I thought maybe someone familiar with the tanks could tell from the depth.

Re: '38 fuel tank capacity?
I've got a 38 fuel tank by Tanks and it's suppose to be 14 gallons. With the price of gas, for me that's plenty. I think that Drakes are 16 gallons, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Go to Drakes website, it'll tell you about the quantities of his tanks.
