seat riser/floor pan
I am not familiar with roadsters and therefore need help.
Is the seat riser/floor pan unit the same in a '29 Roadster and a '29 Coupe or do they differ? The floor pan is the one that folks in the rumble seat would put their feet on. Thanks. Dean Last edited by dean from bozeman; 03-07-2013 at 01:17 PM. |

Re: seat riser/floor pan
The beads and breaks look very similar to the pans on my 28 coupe:

Re: seat riser/floor pan
actually the question is also that is the seat riser a coupe or roadster??? the "TABS" on the riser are the main question.

Re: seat riser/floor pan
The pans that Mark is showing are from a Coupe but are the virtually the same as a Roadster. The Coups use the two "L" brackets pictured in Mark's post. The Roadsters did not use those nor the two pieces welded to the lower center. The Roadste used a wood piece attached to the toe pan for the seat attachment. Dean, we were actually removing these pans last weekend from a Coupe body to use on Karl's Roadster.

Re: seat riser/floor pan
What I was trying to say was that the stamped sheet metal pans were (are) identical. The difference is that the Coupe toe curved pan has the additional "L" shaped brackets riveted to the top as well as the two small pieces spot welded to the lower middle (as i the picture posted by Mark.) The Roadster toe pan did not have these but the sheet metal stamping is the same.
