Default 28-29 and 30-31 PU run boards

Can anyone tell me the difference between 28-29 running boards and 30-31 for pickups, thanks, Mel

The 28-9 are toatally different shape and have a rubber mat with straight lines.

Both boards have the checkerplate ornamentation. (sorry Tom, rubber mat on non-commercial rbs)

The width on the 28-29 is a bit narrower IIRC. I do know the original 28-29s have the Script Ford centered along the side. Not sure on 30-31.

For a while there Rootlieb was making the boards with Ford Script. Then Ford started making noises about a licensed trademark and for a while Rootlieb didn't cow-tow. But I guess eventually they made up and shook hands and the script came back.

Of course the Script cost more money. Any reason is a good one to raise the price. Well, this I expect due to demand of the marketplace which REALLY wants script.

Joe, don't the mounting brackets line up differently on the 28-29 from the 30-31?

Yup. This true too. Brackets are likely in the same spot. Rear fenders probably similar in perspective to 28-29 version. But front fender attachment radically different.
