A couple of suggestions. If you have any part that has the original color, best if it has not been exposed to the elements since 51. (1) Find a supplier who has a spectrophotometer to read the "fingerprint" of your original color. The device will read the spectral waves from your original and then compare that reading to all colors (import, domestic, fleet) available from the paint manufacturer. Its likely you will find an excellent match. (2) Compare your sample to "color map" chip book at the automotive paint store (make sure you make the comparison in natural sunlight between 10 AM and 2 PM on a sunny day). Compare looking directly into the color and then at an angle (called "face" and "flop"). Some stores will actually tint a close starting formula to more closely match your sample.
