If you are so unsure about your cars reliability you really should stay home and work on it. Otherwise have someone follow you with a trailer.

One simple thing I can suggest is a few 55gal. garbage bags to place under the car in case you need to do something under it. It's a lot nicer laying on plastic than blacktop. They take up zero room.

One thing to keep in mind is if you (like me) have a trunk behind your spare (picture 1-2), there is not enough room to get the crank/lug wrench in there to remove the spare without removing the trunk (which is bolted to the trunk rack). So I carry a cheap HF breaker bar, 13/16 socket, and short extension(picture 3) that will do the job as well as making it easier to loosen the other lugs.

I know my parts are good before I drive anywhere, so all I carry is a spare fan belt, points, coil, and condenser. If any of these parts fail, then I can be back on the road in minutes and drive home.

There are some very good suggestions but I believe you have all missed one good thing to carry. We have been driving seriously since 1984 & have been all over the western U.S. & Canada. We carry a long list of parts & tools that I have seen used on many roadside seminars. The missing piece is a "For Sale" sign! I use it to threaten the car if things get serious. It also lightens the mood for most of the people involved.

I didn't see it on your list so I think you might have forgotten one of the most important things... toilet paper.

In my deluxe delivery, I carry one of everything I've ever had trouble with. I hardly ever use any of it, but I have lots of room and I travel with no worries

That is so true. Just the other day I was in Wisconsin searching through a junk yard for car parts, and it never fails, when you get to the far end of the yard, it's time to GO.

A flat screwdriver, a 8 inch crescent wrench, and a pair of channel locks has done me for over 50 years. I do also carry an extra set of points, condenser and coil. I've been lucky and never had to use them but some other people I was traveling with have.

The large tool & parts list is handy for long trips but your are fine for short adventures using what came with tha original Model A. I carry a tested distributor and carburetor under the front seat. The distributor is timed and ready for replacing a suspect distributor. The list is GREAT for accumulating Model A parts and tools for your home shop. I belong to the local Model A club in Grants Pass and would like to welcome you to our club meetings. Our membership chairman is Chuck Green. His phone number is 541-471-9214. Please give him a call for more information and WELCOME to Ford Barn. Art Peary, Henry’s Lady, Grants Pass,OR.

I'll jump in with the obvious. Duct tape (electrical or friction tape is better) and tie wire is good for any car. I also keep a bottle for water (radiator).
