Default Additional Fuses

Did anyone take notice of the fuse block acticle by Howard Denker in the latest issue of the "Model "A" News"? I really like his thoughts on the need for more fuses on the Model A. I have ordered one of the fuse blocks, but I'm going to mount it on the starter as I didn't like it's location on the generator. When I get it wired, I'll post some pictures.

I ordered one of the A Plates from Brattons. It goes on the inside of the firewall.

I have a fuse on the starter, but I also put a small fuse box high on the drivers side kick panel. Any accessories I have added go through that.

By the way, the fuse I have on the starter is not one of the ones from the Model A suppliers. I got one from a boat shop that is better protected from the weather.

Carl:

My word, Nice and organized wiring job, but you *must* have a lot of things attached. Judging by the plumbing, it looks like a heater coil so there must be a fan for that, and seeing that you're in Anchorage, no doubt a heater would come in very handy. What else do you run off that electrical system? BTW, down here in Washington State, we have been having AK temps and a bunch more snow than usual.

Bill,
I divided the fuse block in half, switched and unswitched;

Switched
• Heater
• Air Conditioner
• Windshield Wipers
• Turn Signals
• Back-up Lights
• GPS
• Headlight Alarm
• Fuel Pump

Unswitched
• Lights
• Horn
• Clock
• iPhone Charger
