Throw out bearing question: Should it free spin in your hand?
Putting everything together from a recent rebuild. I was planning on using an NORS US-made throw bearing. Got thinking, should his bearing free spin in your hand?
My bearing spins free and smooth, but it doesn't free spin. I'm assuming it's due to the grease inside. Curious what you all say? |

I think if it was packaged properly, and is new, I would expect it to be as you described. It may be a better bearing than you can buy new today. What brand is it?

It's at home, so I don't recall. If I had to guess, I think it's CBA. I do know it was made in Allentown, PA by the same company that made bikes for a while. |
