Angry 57 Tbird bonnet, (hood) release

Aagh, I've broken the cable for the engine hood release!!

Anyone know how I can get the hood open and replace the cable?

Go to passenger side and reach up between exhaust and heater box with a pair of vice grips. Clamp onto the bar that connects the two latches, and with handle pointing forward, pull down.

Thanks Dominic.

Sorry for the late reply, got lost in the myriad of other issues with the bird once I got the hood up. I'm going to mod the latch bar with a another "emergency release handle arrangement".

Cheers
