I'm not sure which category of Fordbarn to pose this question, so I'll put it under general discussions.



Was the 534 (an enlargement of the 477)the largest CID V-8 built by FoMoCo?



For commercial use. Not military.



A company I worked for during the late '60s had several tandem axle dump trucks with this engine.

When they fired up, it was all business. Very thirsty, but they were built like anvils.



I suppose the last gasp for gasoline before the diesels took over.



Were any of you out there close to these great engines as I was?
