1935 - 36 Flathead Short Block

Took the block, crank and caps to Cornett Machine in Somerset, KY. Block was steamed cleaned and pressured washed, including the crank. “Heli Coils” used to correct leaking stud pockets --- pressure tested with water at 100 psi, 1 crack repaired then tested again. Bored 0.040 over and crank polished. Since Cornett works on older tractor engines, he reset the crank in the mains, did the valve seats and re-bore.

NOS pistons 0.040, new rings and a new timing gear. ALL valves (16) are NOS alloy “tulip” exhaust valves, reground valve seats with adjustable Johnson lifters. Block painted with a thin coat of flat black primer to prevent flash rust. This is a standard 85 hp engine.
Price for the short block: $1150
Included: Intake manifold, Timing cover, Front lower motor mounts (L&R), Oil pan, Oil pump, but no gaskets or head studs. Usable Aluminum heads+$125.
