Looked like a great turnout for a V-8 National Meet. Be sure to have someone do an article for the V-8 Times.

Beautiful cars and weather! It is early summer there isn't it? The cars all look so well preserved, can you drive them year round or do you have snow and salt?

I see they mowed the grass in honor of the event. Those are beautiful cars in a beautiful setting.

We have a temperate climate here. Even at the bottom of the South Island hot rods and classic cars get driven year round. We have car events right through the year.

Nice pictures, looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.

Do you have any more pictures of the maroon 38 standard? I'm a bit biased toward 38 standards...

I like how they tried to line the cars up according to year. Looks as if you went back in time and looking at a dealers lot.

Great photos and a great event. There were about 60 V8s '32 to'54 NZ ranging from average drivers like our 38 standard 4 door to immaculate restorations. On all of the 5 days there was plenty happening in the way of visits to places of interest, museums etc. and lots of NZ scenery. As well of course plenty of socialising.Although we didn't come from far away we still did 800 miles.Plenty of flathead rumble where ever we were. The event was a credit to the organising team who left no stone unturned to make it the success it was.
I have been asked to write a review of the event for NZ mag which may find it's way to the Times.
Cheers, Geoff.

I appreciate the fact that those V8s were either kept original or restored to appear original without lots of bling-bling added. Cheers!!
