scooder, Blu Dice, 51 Merc-CT:

Appreciate your response and knowledge on the distributor/intake manifold. If the distributor on this engine is not set up correctly, then will be (as suggested) really pleased with the correct set up since the car seems to runs well with lots of torque. Not a clue on the mpg at this point since have only put maybe a couple hundred miles on the car. Will dive into this later on this winter.

More pictures of the car:

Thanks again for your help.

Test.

That is by far the nicest car in that shop. The other Ford is also nice, two nice cars.
Martin.
I'll excuse the one below the other Ford.

The main reason for this car is to use it to cheer up my Dad. Recently his wife of 68 years suddenly died and the 50 Ford Club Coupe was his (their) very first car.

Thanksgiving was the reveal to my Dad. He had forgot he gave me the license plate off his car some 25 years ago so it was a natural to install it on this one:

Oh God, was the phrase of the day!

Since then we have spent more time in the car and having some fun:

Tomorrow is a little outing for breakfast.

Best,

I have a big soft spot for the '50 Ford, and the dark green is the color of mine that left me so many good memories. Yours is a beautiful car.

Good on you for taking time for your Dad. You won't regret it.
