Default Yes, they are still out there...

I brought this one home yesterday. 36 Club Cabriolet. Pretty obvious it was an old drag car from the late 50's. Been sittin' for 30+ years. Solid as a rock. '49 merc under the hood with all the 50's stuff to boot.

Kube, that's a very nice find. I like the stainless stone guards. Are those small turn signal lights mounted on top of the headlights? Steve

Good for you!! I can't think of a better owner for that car. Was it close to your place or did you have to travel to get it? Will this get the "concourse treatment" or are you keeping it as a 50s car?

Kube,Good Score. How did you manage to sneak that away from some of those other Wis. Ford guys we know? Wis. always was good hunting for old Fords. All of mine over the years have come from there.

That's 2 nice 36's found in Wisconsin in the last 6 months, both sitting for a long time with Merc's under the hood.

That car is killer! Get it running and drive the wheels of it. I wouldn't even wash it, they're only barn fresh once.

I kind of agree. looks like a resto-rod from the 60s to me. Greyhound, grill guard, mags. Such a rare car and seems in decent condition.

Car was from Tennessee. Came to Illinois about 35 years ago as it now appears.
I am certain it will stay pretty much as is.
