Just for the record, I recently removed the fuel pump bushing in an 8BA. This was caused by an unusual set of circumstances. The cam would only move 1/8 inch axially and rotate 30 degrees. On investigation, a piece of the fuel pump rod had broken off in the cam. An M12 tap and bolt are just the right size to remove the fuel rod bushing. A 7/16th tap is too small and a 1/2 inch is too large. I then put a flat bar across the intake area and used a wheel puller.
